Wickramarachchi Institute of Speech and Hearing (WISH) Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life for the hearing impaired around the island of Sri Lanka and globally.
WISH Foundation is a non-profit, public benefit corporation. It was formed in 2006. We realized that many who are hearing-impaired do not have the means to improve their hearing. The Foundation has a hearing aid bank and supports patients who need hearing aids. Several patients have received care, through our efforts, that otherwise would not have been available to them.
The foundation has several commitments which includes providing hearing aids, donations for Cochlear implantees and rehabilitation support for hearing impaired children, along with funding for research aiming at improving care for hearing and balance impaired individuals.
The Foundation’s funding mainly comes from the CEO of WISH, Mr. Mihira Wickramarachchi who understands and believes in our program. We also receive donations from around the globe.
Our aim is to:
Our mission is to create the best services to help you take care of the hearing impaired, and to support all individuals with hearing loss to let them work in the society freely.
